Hyundai Construction Company (HCC), also known as Hyundai Construction, has made a reputation in the community, for going the extra mile, in providing construction quality, dependability, as well as expert management skills, to its valued customers.

 

HCC's credits include New Construction, Remodeling, Expansions on both Commercial and Residential Projects. HCC is also an expert in the areas of Storefront WIndows and Aluminum Glass Glazing, as well as Special Order Glass Doors, including Flooring as well.

Johnny Kim - President / Owner / General Contractor
Johnny founded Kim's Glass Company in Anchorage, Alaska in 1983, where he used his creativity and craftsmanship to develop his knowledge of glass and create works of art.
In 1988, he moved to Lakewood, Washington, where he founded Hyundai Construction. With his honesty, dedication, perseverance, and the willingness to go the extra mile, he gained his reputation from all across the Puget Sound area and established his company as one of the leading construction companies in the Asian community. Even after 35 years since his humble beginnings, Johnny is committed to put on his tool belt to serve his customers.

Sue Hye Kim - Vice President / Accounts Manager
Working together with Johnny as husband and wife, Sue has been able to deliver a friendly and hard-working attitude that stands out from competitors, Sue worked at South Korea's largest electrical company for over 10 years as the lead accountant, and has since worked with Johnny.


James Hart - Senior Project Manager
James has worked nearly 40 years in construction, earning certifications and licenses all throughout WA and AK. His countless hours of experience on-site includes but is not limited to: superintendent, project manager, and general manager. His experience even extends off-site in positions such as building and planning inspection.
He has since joined Hyundai Construction to work as a senior project manager.

Michael Hoven - Project Manager
Michael was raised in construction, working with his father, to gain his experience in all levels of constructions. He has earned a B.A. of Science in Computerized Information Systems and has since been in construction management. He also has numerous certifications including: UST Licensed Supervisor, WA State License Fire System Installer, City of Seattle Licensed Side Sewer Installer, WA State Erosion Control Specialist, and more. His project management experience is in site and civil aspects of construction.

Greg Gim - Project Engineer
Greg graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering. While in the process of receiving several certifications in construction, Greg decided to join his father with his early developed passion in construction to plan, design, and build state-of-the-art facilities all across Western Washington.
